Bristol Student Commonwealth Society

The establishmstudents-society2ent of a student chapter of the Bristol Commonwealth Society (BSCS) (affiliated to the Royal Commonwealth Society) was an idea mooted in 2014 following the visit of John Kirkland, Deputy Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities to the BCS. The involvement of students in BCS is not a new thing as BCS has hosted many social events for Commonwealth students providing a place of comfort and friendship.

The objects of a student club affiliated to the University of Bristol Union are to bring together students from countries which are members of the Commonwealth and involve them in that already established network.  Within this framework there are opportunities for volunteering, networking and social events .

Please see bottom of page for latest events.  Non-BSCS members are welcome to student events but please telephone 0117 9734720 or email  to book.
